Data-driven rankings powered by Google reviews, social signals, and local expertise
Last updated May 24, 2026
Each restaurant on this page is scored on a 0–100 scale that combines three signals: Google review quality (rating, volume, recency), Instagram and TikTok engagement, and a city-and-cuisine context layer that compares restaurants only against their peers. A 4.5-star Marrakech tagine house is judged against other Marrakech tagine houses, not against a Casablanca brunch spot. Higher scores indicate stronger combined signals, not necessarily better food — public data has limits, and a beloved hole-in-the-wall with no Instagram will under-index until enough reviews accumulate.
The lanes break the rankings down by intent. Top Rated surfaces the strongest combined signals across the country. Trending weights recent social momentum higher. Digital First favours restaurants with strong online and delivery presence. New & Promising looks for recently-opened venues with early buzz. City filters narrow each lane to a single market. We do not accept paid placements, and no human editor overrides the scoring to promote a venue.
